It’s this commitment to developing our associates that was recently recognized by Training Magazine. CNO was named a 2022 Training APEX Award recipient, marking the 11th consecutive year CNO or one of its family of insurance brands has been recognized as a best-in-class employee training and development organization.
In 2022, the company moved up six spots from 2021, placing #49 on this year’s list – our highest ranking to date.
“It is such an honor to be recognized for our training and development programs,” said Brian Wilson, vice president, enterprise field recruiting and development. “Our increased rankings resulted in part from CNO’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and an increased focus on education and awareness by launching the DE&I OnDemand Learning Program with 300 courses specifically on DE&I-related topics.”
This year’s ranking demonstrates CNO’s continued commitment to associate training and field sales development programs. Highlights included the Wealth Management Quick Start and Foundations program, which provides new financial representatives and advisors what they need to jumpstart their career and conduct securities business faster and more efficiently than ever before.
According to Wilson, the increased ranking was not only due to CNO’s DE&I initiatives, but also to its strong Business Resource Groups (BRGs), including the Women's Leadership and Networking Committee (WLNC). The group founded its Making Mentors program, which focuses on developing female leadership in the financial industry.
CNO earned a spot on the Training APEX Award rankings based on detailed formal and informal training programs and business outcomes resulting from training.
