Carmel, Ind. January 30, 2008 - Conseco, Inc., announced that James C. LeMere has been promoted to vice president, policyholder services.

In this role, LeMere will be responsible for customer service operations, including call and transaction processing for more than 3.5 million policyholders of the Conseco insurance companies and Bankers Life and Casualty Company.

LeMere reports to Steve Stecher, executive vice president of operations for Conseco, Inc. “Since joining Conseco in 2005, Jim has delivered many effective programs to enhance service quality for our Conseco Insurance Group policyholders,” said Stecher. “In his new role, Jim will build on these successful programs and introduce new initiatives to achieve our goal of providing superior service for our Bankers Life and Conseco Insurance Group policyholders.”

Before Conseco, LeMere was with McCamish Systems, L.L.P., a provider of business process outsourcing services located in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as director of customer service. From 1995-2003, LeMere worked for Lincoln Financial Group of Fort Wayne, Indiana, serving in operational and marketing management roles.

LeMere earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He holds NASD series, 6, 63 and 26 licenses, and has earned the Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI); Associate, Customer Service (ACS); and Associate, Annuity Products and Administration (AAPA) insurance designations.
