Carmel, Ind., July 30, 2007: Conseco, Inc. (NYSE:CNO) today announced that Brian E. Millsap has joined the company as vice president, product management—long-term care. Millsap is responsible for pricing and product development for long-term care and related products for all Conseco companies.

In his new role, Millsap reports to Dick Garner, senior vice president of health product management. “Brian brings extensive experience in long-term care product management, having worked with this product line for nearly 20 years,?? said Garner. “Specifically, his experience with pricing, product development and experience analysis—of both traditional and combination product designs—will help Conseco develop and maintain long-term care products that are both competitive and profitable.??

Millsap joins Conseco from the Chicago office of Milliman, Inc., a global consulting and actuarial firm, where he served for four years as an associate actuary. While at Milliman, Millsap provided long-term care product support for several major clients. He designed and maintained a model for combination products that was used by the Chicago office to price life/LTC and annuity/LTC products. Prior to Milliman, Millsap served 15 years at CNA, where he was responsible for individual long-term care product management and pricing.

Millsap holds a BS in business administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a frequent speaker on long-term care insurance at industry conferences.
