Carmel, Ind. July 11, 2006 - The Conseco insurance companies announced that James Gomez has been appointed as regional vice president for the TSA market. In this role, he will be responsible for evaluating production and recruiting distribution partners for Washington National Insurance Company, a Conseco insurance company.

Gomez joined Conseco in 2005 as an annuity wholesaler for Conseco Insurance Company, bringing 20 years of insurance and annuity experience. Before joining Conseco, Gomez served from 1998–2004 as regional vice president of sales with ING/ReliaStar, specializing in the K-12 tax-sheltered market. Gomez is a Certified College Planning Specialist and holds Series 6, 7, 24 and 63 NASD licenses. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

In his new role, Gomez will report to Brad Corbin, executive vice president of sales. “Washington National has received tremendous response from distributors since the launch of our new Educators’ Choice series of TSA products, and we recognize that our sales team must grow to support this success in the market,?? said Corbin. “I have worked with James for many years, and I am confident that his industry knowledge and sales experience will contribute to Washington National’s continued sales success.??
