Carmel, Ind. November 11, 2005 -- Conseco, Inc. announced that Scott L. Goldberg has been promoted to senior vice president, strategic planning.
Goldberg reports to Jim Hohmann, executive vice president and chief administrative officer. “Since joining our company in 2004, Scott’s industry knowledge and leadership skills have helped us achieve important goals,?? Hohmann said. “As senior vice president, Scott will continue to work with Conseco’s leadership team to design growth strategies for the company. He supports the execution of our strategic plans and contributes to the development of strategic alliances for Conseco.??
Before joining Bankers Life and Casualty in 2004, Goldberg was employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association as managing director of the development group. Previously, he worked with CNA, where he served as assistant vice president, strategic planning and business development. Goldberg, who began his career in auditing and financial consulting at Arthur Andersen, has also held strategy management positions at Lante Corporation and Accenture.
Goldberg earned his bachelor’s degree in finance with honors from the University of Illinois and his MBA with distinction from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is a Certified Public Account in the state of Illinois, and serves as a Steinberg Leadership Fellow with the Anti-Defamation League of Chicago.
