Carmel, Ind. October 6, 2005 -- Conseco Insurance Group announced that Edward (Ted) C. Mackenzie has been named vice president, policyholder services. In this position, Mackenzie is responsible for management of the company’s customer service call center, policyholder processing and premium collection departments. He reports to Peggy Hutchinson, senior vice president of policyholder services.

Mackenzie has nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience, specializing in policyholder services. He began his career with Confederation Life Insurance Company, where he amassed an 18-year tenure in various operational and marketing roles. Since then, Mackenzie has provided operational leadership for insurance companies including Chubb Life Insurance Company, UnumProvident, and AEGON.

Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He has earned the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter,) FMLI (Fellow, Life Management Institute,) and ALHC (Associate, Life and Health Claims) insurance industry designations.
