Conseco Insurance Introduces Great Rates with New Medicare Supplement Product

Carmel, Ind., January 11, 2005 — Agents who are seeking a fresh opportunity in Medicare supplement sales can now offer a new product from Conseco Insurance Company. This Med supp product offers new rate classes and some of the most competitive rates in the industry.

Conseco Insurance’s Med supp offers features to help agents maintain a competitive edge. In most states the product has a three-tiered premium rate structure: standard, preferred and a new “preferred plus,” allowing clients to qualify for the lowest offered rates. Separate rates are available for men and women, replacing the unisex rates that are common in the industry. The product offers a one-year premium rate guarantee.

“Conseco Insurance is focused on providing top-notch products and exceptional sales support for our distribution partners, and this new product is another example of that commitment,” says Ron Bendes, senior vice president and national sales director of health insurance products for the Conseco insurance companies. “With competitive rates, underwriting and commissions, our Med supp product ensures that Conseco Insurance agents have an edge in the senior market.”

With Conseco Insurance’s Med supp, submitting new business has never been easier for agents and their clients. Initial premium can be paid by electronic bank draft. And applications can be submitted to the carrier by mail, fax or electronically via Conseco EzApp, the carrier’s new e-application software. Agents can check the status of submitted applications through www.consecobizlink.com, Conseco’s agent portal Web site.

Conseco Insurance policyholders and healthcare providers enjoy online access to policy information through www.conseco.com and can also participate in the Conseco Rx Savings Plan, a discount prescription program that is offered at no cost or obligation.

The Conseco insurance companies serve nearly 5 million customers across America. Conseco’s cancer, heart/stroke, accident and Medicare supplement policies protect people against major unplanned expenses; Conseco’s annuities and life insurance products help people plan for their financial futures.

The prescription drug program described is not part of nor guaranteed by the policy, is not an insurance program and is not part of the Medicare-approved prescription drug program. Conseco Insurance Company is not responsible for the administration of the program.
