Carmel, Ind. February 7, 2005 — Conseco Insurance Company today introduced its newest annuity product, Conseco 7. This new product offers a 7% bonus on all premiums paid throughout the first year of the policy, plus seven growth options.
With Conseco 7, clients have the freedom to allocate funds among the product’s growth options as they wish. They can place all funds in one option, or allocate funds as they wish among two or more options.
- The S&P 500 ® Index options —available with monthly averaging or point-to-point crediting methods—provides index credits based on the gains of the S&P Composite Stock Price Index ®. This option features an annual reset.
- The S&P MidCap 400 Index options —available with monthly averaging or point-to-point crediting methods—provides index credits based on the gains of the S&P MidCap 400 Index, a measurement of the performance of the midsize-company segment of the U.S. market. This option features an annual reset.
- The Russell 2000 ® Index options —available with monthly averaging or point-to-point crediting methods—provides index credits based on the gains of the Russell 2000 Index, a measurement of the performance of the 2,000 smallest companies in the Russell 3000 ® Index. This option features an annual reset.
- A one-year, fixed-rate option provides a traditional fixed-interest rate, guaranteed on initial premium for the first contract year.
Upon each contract anniversary, Conseco 7 gives clients the ability to change the direction of their contributions, with no restrictions on allocations or transfers.

Conseco 7 is a 15-year, flexible-premium product. Additional benefits available with Conseco 7 include a nursing care rider and a terminal illness rider, both available at no additional cost.
