Carmel, Ind.: February 8, 2005 – The Conseco Insurance companies today announced its appointment of Brad J. Corbin as executive vice president, sales. He is responsible for driving sales growth across the company’s annuity, supplemental health and life insurance lines of business, through both individual and worksite distribution channels.
Corbin brings extensive sales experience in the financial services industry to his new position with Conseco. For the past three years, he served as a consultant with Laguna Consulting Group of Laguna Hills, California, where he provided training and consulting services in sales and marketing, leadership development and communications. His clients included companies in the financial services, drug and health care industries, among others.
Before his consulting work, Corbin served for six years as vice president of sales for Northern Life Insurance Company, where he was responsible for growing sales in excess of 20% annually during his tenure and company record-setting results in agent recruiting. Prior to Northern Life, Corbin founded and managed a sales and marketing firm, specializing in the distribution of financial products and services through independent agents and brokers.
Chief Operating Officer Mike Hone said, “We recruited Brad for his broad sales leadership skills and his proven strategic and execution abilities. He is an important addition to the Conseco Insurance team as we strengthen our internal sales support areas and work toward building long-lasting relationships with the independent marketing organizations and independent agents who distribute our products.”
Corbin holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from San Jose State University and an MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. He holds both NASD Series 7 and 24 licenses.
