Carmel, Ind.: April 13, 2005 — Conseco Insurance announced that Barry L. Staldine has been promoted to vice president, information technology. In this position, Staldine is responsible for life and annuity policy administration systems and related new product implementation for Conseco Insurance.
Staldine reports to John Keddy, vice president of enterprise application development.
Staldine joined Conseco in 1998 as assistant vice president, corporate financial systems, and has served in various management positions within the information technology department. In 2001, he became a Six Sigma master black belt and was responsible for identifying and managing process improvement projects by applying Six Sigma methodology. Most recently, Staldine served as second vice president, health system simplification, with responsibility for planning a multi-year consolidation effort of the company’s policy administrative systems.
Prior to Conseco, Staldine was the chief operating officer for Halean Group, a healthcare benefits consulting firm. Before that, he worked with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Indianapolis.
Staldine holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Anderson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Indiana.
