CNO Financial Group has been recognized by the Business Group on Health as a 2026 Best Employer for Excellence in Health & Well‑being, marking the company’s 11th year earning the distinction. The award is given to companies who demonstrate their commitment to advancing employee well‑being through comprehensive, innovative benefits and initiatives.
CNO was also one of just 15 organizations honored for Excellence in Health Inclusion. The Health Inclusion seal is awarded to organizations who ensure all employees have the opportunity to reach their full health potential through broadening inclusive programs and benefits.
These awards reflect not only CNO’s strong benefits, but our long-standing commitment to prioritizing well-being as a core part of the associate experience.
CNO’s Holistic Approach to Associate Well‑being
CNO’s well‑being program is designed to support associates across multiple dimensions of life, including physical, mental, emotional, social and financial well‑being. In 2025, 94% of CNO associates engaged with the program, underscoring its relevance and impact.
Our offerings focus on removing barriers to care while providing flexibility and choice. Associates have access to on‑site, community and virtual clinics, enabling convenient care options regardless of location.
CNO also offers incentives of up to $2,000 annually to encourage healthy behaviors, along with access to free financial counseling, mental health resources, flexible work arrangements, paid time off and volunteer opportunities that allow associates to give back to their communities.
Well‑being in Action
At CNO, our approach to well-being starts with flexibility and access, because associates’ needs don’t stop at the end of the workday. Our well-being programs are designed to help associates manage their health, finances and personal responsibilities in ways that fit real life. Why we stand out:
- Financial Well‑being and Coaching: Associates have access to free, unlimited financial coaching with certified financial planners, plus tools and resources to support budgeting, saving, retirement and financial literacy.
- Mental Health and Caregiver Support: Free, confidential professional counseling, mindfulness and meditation programs, and access to caregiver resources including subsidized back‑up care and support groups.
- Flexible Work and Time Off Programs: Hybrid and remote work options, paid time off, paid parental and pregnancy loss leave, bereavement time off, volunteer time off, and seasonal flexibility through programs like Summer Hours.
- Accessible, Preventive Health Care: Multiple medical plan options, free preventive care, access to onsite, network and virtual clinics, to help associates navigate care more easily.
- Well‑being Incentives and Engagement: Opportunities to earn annual well‑being incentives for healthy behaviors, plus challenges, webinars and events.
“CNO designs our well‑being programs around what associates actually need—whether that’s access to virtual care, personalized resources or tools that help them navigate life’s transitions—so support is there when it matters most,” says Kami Reuter, Well-being Director at CNO. “We take a holistic view of well‑being because health, finances, caregiving and work are all connected. Our focus is on designing programs that work together, so associates can access the right support at different moments in their lives—not just during major events."
